Our History

ELM Legal Services have been helping people for over 20 years. Find out more about our history below.

2000

In 2000 ELM was founded by Jim Emsley.

2005

In 2005 ELM. joined the Society of Will Writers, a self-regulatory organisation whose primary objectives are the advancement, education and ethical standards within the will writing profession.

2010

In 2010 ELM joined the Professional association of Legal Services (PALS).

2011

In 2011 ELM became investors in People. Since 1991 Investors in People has set the standard for better people management.

2015

Moved to the current extensive city centre premises.

2018

ELM joins the Institute of Professional Will Writers

Shortlisted for Will Writing Firm of the Year

2018

In 2018 ELM were shortlisted for Will Writing Firm of the Year (South) at the British Wills & Probate Awards 2018.

2019

The Parliamentary Review recognises the best practice of organisations across the private and public sectors.
