Terms & conditions
1. How the Programme Works
1.1. ELM Legal Services (“we”, “us”, “our”) offers a Client Referral Programme (“Programme”) which allows existing clients to refer friends, family, or colleagues to our services.
1.2. To participate, you must share your unique referral link provided by ELM Legal Services. Referral links are unique and must not be transferred, sold, or published on public websites.
1.3. You will earn a reward when a referred individual (“Referral”) engages our services by making a qualifying purchase, subject to these Terms.
2. Rewards and Offers
2.1. For every successful referral, you will receive a £50 reward, redeemable as a digital gift card valid across 100+ UK retailers.
2.2. Once you successfully refer three (3) or more new clients, your reward per referral will increase to £75.
2.3. Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
2.4. We reserve the right to substitute a reward of equal or greater value at our discretion.
2.5. You are responsible for any personal tax obligations arising from the receipt of rewards.
3. Issuing of Rewards and Offers
3.1. A referral qualifies when the referred client has engaged our services by making a purchase and the 14-day statutory cooling-off period has expired without cancellation.
3.2. Rewards will be issued within 30 days after the cooling-off period has ended.
3.3. We reserve the right to verify the identity of both the referrer and the referred client prior to issuing any reward.
3.4. Only first-time ELM Legal Services clients are eligible as valid referrals.
4. Privacy and Data Protection
4.1. All personal data collected under this Programme will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4.2. The lawful basis for processing such data is our legitimate interest in operating and managing the Referral Programme.
4.3. You must respect the privacy rights of the individuals you refer. You must inform them of these Terms and our Privacy Policy before submitting their personal details.
4.4. We will never sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes without consent.
5. Eligibility and Conduct
5.1. You may only invite personal friends, family members, acquaintances, and colleagues whom you know personally.
5.2. Referral links must not be shared via paid advertising, referral listing websites, or public forums.
5.3. You must not use any referral methods that could be considered intrusive, misleading, or unlawful (including sending unsolicited messages or spam).
5.4. You must not promote this Programme on platforms containing adult, political, gambling, or other prohibited content.
5.5. Participation is limited to personal use only and must not be used for commercial purposes.
6. Completed Referrals and Limits
6.1. A “Completed Referral” occurs when a referred client has fulfilled the criteria in Section 3.
6.2. We may impose limits on the number of Completed Referrals eligible for rewards.
6.3. Referrals are valid only for new and first-time clients of ELM Legal Services.
6.4. We reserve the right to request proof of identity or additional information to verify eligibility.
7. Term and Termination
7.1. We may modify or terminate the Programme at any time without prior notice.
7.2. If the Programme is terminated, valid referrals made prior to termination will still be honoured, subject to compliance with these Terms.
7.3. Any material changes to the Programme will be communicated via our website.
8. Relationship and Representation
8.1. You understand and agree that your participation does not create any agency, partnership, or employment relationship with ELM Legal Services.
8.2. You are not authorised to act on behalf of, or represent, ELM Legal Services in any capacity.
8.3. You must not use our logo, trademark, or other brand materials without our prior written consent
9. Violations and Termination of Participation
9.1. We reserve the right to withhold or cancel any reward if we suspect fraudulent activity, manipulation, or misuse of the Programme.
9.2. Current or former employees, contractors, or affiliates of ELM Legal Services may be excluded from participation.
9.3. We may suspend or terminate your participation immediately if you breach these Terms or applicable laws.
10. Disputes and Complaints
10.1. All decisions by ELM Legal Services regarding rewards and eligibility are final.
10.2. This clause does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
10.3. Any complaints regarding the Programme can be raised via www.elm-online.co.uk/contact/.
11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
11.1. The Programme and all associated benefits are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
11.2. We make no representations or warranties regarding any outcome or continued availability of rewards.
11.3. To the extent permitted by law, ELM Legal Services accepts no liability for loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Programme, except where caused by our negligence or wilful misconduct.
12. Amendments
12.1. We may amend these Terms from time to time.
12.2. The latest version will always be available at www.elm-online.co.uk/client-referral-programme/terms-conditions/.
12.3. Continued participation following any amendment constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
