Online Will Writing - How to make a will

ELM recognizes that everyone’s requirements are different and not everybody is familiar with the legal terms used when drafting legal documents. More importantly we understand that most people are looking for assurance in that when they write a will, the document clearly outlines the author’s wishes.

Live Consultation

After registering and validating your account you will begin a live consultation with an experienced member of our UK based will team who can immediately answer any questions you may have.

You will then be guided step-by-step through each section of the instruction form where you will be able to provide responses to each section that is relevant to your last Will and Testament.

The full consultation normally takes around 45 minutes however you can choose to complete this in more than one sitting if you prefer. If you wish to return at a more convenient time then you can do so by just logging back in and you will contnue from where you left.

Drafting of the Will

Once we have taken all the details required to produce your Will and you are happy for us to proceed, the initial Will Document is drafted.

The document will be verified and initially sent in PDF format via email so that you can print, review and make any copies. View the first page of a sample Last Will and Testament.

We then send you a ‘Professionally bound’ copy via ‘Royal Mail Recorded Signed for™’.

You will then need to sign the Will and once signed this should be kept in a safe place where it can be found when required.

For added security ELM offer a Will Storage service where the document is kept safe on your / your families behalf. Our storage service incorporates free updates for life, so should your circumstances or wishes change in the future you can easily log back in and amend your document.

Payment Terms

Full payment for the service is not due until the conclusion of your consultation, and prior to the dispatch of your documents. However to prevent fraud we ask you to validate your account at the start of the process by charging your card with £1.00 – this amount is deducted from the Final payment at the end of the consultation.

Getting started

If you are in a hurry to have your document completed please take a look at our Express Will Writing service where your document will be compiled and returned to you to review within 90 minutes of completing our online consultation.

Otherwise our Standard Will Writing service will have the document returned to you by email within 72 hours.
